Benedikt and Rachel are refugees from Frankfurt(Oder) and Eisenhüttenstadt who came to Germany in hope for a better life. Both had to experience, what it can mean, to be a refugee here. They report about their experiences with the authorities, their living conditions in the asylum seeker home and about their everyday life in the cities.
In the film other people from Frankfurt speak about their perspectives on the situation of refugees and report about racism on different layers. Furthermore a lawyer take speech and throws light on the justicial basis of the asylum procedure. This documentary should contribute to the clarification of the factual living conditions of migrants in the asylum seekers homes and in the cities. Thereby it is a plea for the support of refugees in the struggle about their dignity and against racist state of things.
